Doctor

  • Dr. Jeff Dand , DVM


    Dr. Dand graduated from the Atlantic Veterinary College in 1997. He then went to Florida to do an internship for small animal medicine and Surgery. Once back in Canada Dr. Dand purchased the Crowfoot Veterinary Hospital in 2000. Since then the practice has continued to grow on the philosophy of "Quality Care with Compassion".   • Shannon Perz , DVM


    Dr. Perz grew up in Nanton Alberta and graduated from the University of Calgary with a BSc in 1993. She then moved to Saskatoon to attend the Western College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 1997. Dr. Perz join the Crowfoot team in Feb of 1999. Along with her extensive knowledge Dr. Perz has a keen interest in helping people whose companions have behavioral problems. On many days you will see her faithful Doberman Mix Cleo at the clinic with her as well.

    Dr. Tasha Kean considers the Maritimes to be home.  She graduated from the Atlantic Veterinary College in 2008 and headed West with her husband, her cat Lefty and a chinchilla named Smudge.   If she is not at the clinic she can be found exploring her new province by land in her bright yellow VW Beetle or by kayak.Vetsuite_Img_46736

  • Dr. Melissa Van Der Sluys


        Dr. Melissa Van Der Sluys was born and bred in Perth, Australia. She graduated with her degree in Veterinary Medicine and Surgery at MurdochUniversity in 2008. Melissa moved to Calgary leaving her horses and dogs in her Mum's care, to experience the rocky mountain life with her Canadianhusband. When she is not at the clinic meeting your furry family members, you will find her snowboarding, bike riding, hiking and catching up with friends over a coffee.Vetsuite_Img_59604

    Amy, is a long-term member of the Crowfoot family.  She graduated in 2002 from Olds College, and began her solid commitment to the Crowfoot Veterinary Hospital.

  • Kathryn Hunter , AHT


    Kathryn, (Also known to as Kat to us here at Crowfoot), is a 2000 graduate from Olds College in Alberta. She worked in a small animal practice for 6 years prior to joining our Crowfoot Veterinary Hospital team in 2006.
    Kat has one cat named "Jasper" who is very vocal and demands all of her attention the minute she arrives home.

    Julie is a 2003 graduate from the Nova Scotia Agriculture College.  She moved from Nova Scotia to Calgary, and joined our valued team at Crowfoot Veterinary Hospital in 2004..
    Julie has two cats.  "Butters", (AKA 'The Boss'), and Indy the nice Torti.

    Tara has her Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences and is currently our Out Patient Nurse here at Crowfoot Veterinary Hospital.  She aspires to be a Veterinarian.

  • Denise Ferris


    Denise is currently a full-time receptionist at our hospital.  She occasionaly brings her little Havanese "Tazo" to work. When Denise is not working, she is attending the University of Calgary.  She has completed her second year in Health Sciences (honour program).

  • Jessica Deveau


    Jessica was hired three years ago as a Doggy Day Care Attendant at Crowfoot Veterinary Hospital.  She just recently was promoted to full-time reception and also dedicates her time house sitting for our clients and their beloved pets when they are scheduled to go out of town.  Jessica has three dogs and three cats who keep her quite busy but, when she has some time to spare she loves making them all nice and pretty.

    Kaitlin graduated from Veterinary Office Assistant program at Robertson College. Kaitlin has always had a passion for animals and decided to go into the medical world for animals and is absolutely loving it. Boarding

  • Nanda Korthals , Veterinary Office Assistant


    Vetsuite_Img_43273Nanda came from Amsterdam in 1996 where she has always being surrounded with family pets. Nanda is one of the trained professionals that look after the dogs in our Medical Day Boarding department. She loves spending the time with the patients and is constantly walking and playing with them. Nanda also brings her dog princess with her to work everyday to help the other patients.
